Hagar Goldberg studied animal sciences at the Hebrew university and obtained an MSc in neurobiology from the Weizmann institute of science, where I'm currently a PhD student. In my research I study the human brain mechanisms of emotional and social behavior, especially the perceptual link between self and other.
In addition I'm starting to promote a development of an emotional education program for children in Israel. The aim is to provide children tools for better observation and understanding of themselves and others, in order to efficiently analyze situations, cope with dark abysses as well as exciting summits. I believe that cultivating emotional intelligent will improve the personal as well as social interactions, cooperation, productivity and well being.
I believe hfp is promoting this kind of conceptual change in the academic world, and I'm very excited to be part of this important enterprise.
