Consultant - New York
Dr Kathryn (Kathy) Potts earned her Honors and PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia, investigating the fundamental biology of blood development. Kathy migrated to New York for a postdoctoral fellowship, investigating targeted therapeutics for blood cancers.
As a scientist and mentor, Kathy understands how essential communication and positive leadership are to support scientists in doing the best science. Having attended an hfp course during her postdoc, she was immediately motivated to join in their mission to develop these skills throughout the scientific community. Kathy has a long standing passion for team development, scientific mentoring and championing women, contributing broadly to institutional and international scientific committees, and the not-for-profit sector.
“At hfp we believe we need to ‘walk the talk’ - we care deeply about the growth and well-being of both the team and our course participants. I’m excited to help scientists and mentors develop these personal and professional skills.”
