As I transitioned from the bench to a leadership role, I sought guidance from a former supervisor. They highlighted a common challenge: scientists are rigorously trained in their research, but leadership often comes without a roadmap. I believe in a more intentional approach. If we apply the same passion and dedication we have for our scientific pursuits to nurturing and empowering our teams, we can amplify our collective impact in science. This belief led me to join hfp consulting, where I aim to drive a shift towards a people-centred culture in science.
I’ve personally experienced the transformative power of a well-developed leadership course. It was through such a program that I learned to leverage my creativity, playfulness, and love of community within my leadership. I am enthusiastic about facilitating similar transformative journeys, helping others embrace their authentic selves to cultivate their teams. Additionally, immersing myself in a community of scientists who are equally passionate about their leadership growth provides inspiration for my own evolution.
