My first contact with hfp consulting was, when, during its launch in 2004, I acted as advisor lab-related issues. In my times as a researcher, I had experienced first-hand how frequent interpersonal differences, often based in misunderstandings, get into the way of a productive and positive working atmosphere in the lab, and how important positive leadership is in maintaining it. I therefore greatly appreciate the hfp approach to convey the skills and values required for this. I am glad to be part of it myself by keeping staff as well as alumni and interested readers up-to-date on exciting news from both hfp consulting and the scientific community.
