Margit Ritzka studied Biochemistry in Hannover, focusing on human genetics. In 2003, she received her doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Hannover (now Leibniz University Hannover) for studies on the genetic background of Cystic Fibrosis. She obtained further qualification as a science editor and writer at mibeg-Institut Medien in Cologne. Since 2005, she has been working as a freelance science journalist, editor and copy-editor, as well as a translator mostly on scientific and health-related subjects. In addition, she has been moderating the mailing list of the main German professional organization for freelance editors and copy-editors (VFLL) since 2008.
Margit joined hpf consulting in 2018 in order to support the team with respect to online communications. Her main purpose is keeping staff as well as alumni and interested readers up-to-date on exciting news from both hfp consulting and the scientific community.
